Olle Engkvist to explore parallel protein analysis with arrayed solid-state nanopores
Professor Shili Zhang received a grant from Stiftelsen Olle Engkvist to continue exploring protein analysis with nanopores.
The objective of this project is to explore parallel analysis of protein using arrayed solid-state nanopores fabricated based on silicon nanofabrication technology. Deep learning algorithms based on our recently demonstrated bi-path network will be employed to assist the analysis. This project involves extremely challenging device fabrication, experimental setup for sensing and data interpretation. Two ambitious postdoctoral fellows will join the project in early January 2022 if the pandemic is under control.
