Two New Senior Lectures at Division of Solid-State Electronics
2021-11-26
The Division of Solid-State Electronics and the Department fo Electrical Engineering congratulate both Tomas Nyberg and Apurba Dev for their promotions as Senior Lecturer.
From November 1st, Apurba Dev and Tomas Nyberg are admitted as senior lecturers at the Division of Solid-State Electronics, a great pleasure for our division and department.
Apurba Dev is leading the research team Ionics and Optoelectornics to develop biomedical sensors for diagnostics as well as for understanding the biology and functions of nanoscale extracellular vesicles. In addition to his research activities, he is going to be more involved in education taking part in several of our courses.

Tomas Nyberg is Associate Professor at Division of Solid State Electronics, Department of Electrical Engineering at Uppsala University. His research focus on experimental studies and modelling of the sputtering and reactive sputtering process. Experimental studies include tailoring of energetic particles and temperature in order to tailor-make the structure and properties of the sputtered films. Metallic films as well as oxides, nitrides, sulfides and carbides are subject of the studies. Particular interest has been directed towards sputtering of two-dimensional sulfide films and modelling of reactive sputtering of ceramic materials. Tomas Nyberg got his PhD in 1998 from Uppsala University with thesis “Studies of the reactive sputtering process and CVD of diamond thin films”.
In addition to his research activities on 2D film materials, he is going to be more involved in education taking part in several of our courses.
